This morning SUCKED!

After a string of misfortune, I was put into a real SALTY mood. When I got on the train, the conductor was making his rounds so I rested my hot cocoa between my knees.  As I was reaching to grab my ticket out of my wallet, my grip must have slipped because the scolding hot cocoa spilled all over the place (I didn't even have a chance to get a sip). I was so heated.

I switched seats and thats when I noticed that I needed to woo sahh because the sun was just coming up and it was way too early to be that angry.

Rubies in the Orchard

I couldn't decide what I wanted to get out and do this weekend so I just stayed in and read my new book. I recommend this particular book to anyone who's into design and marketing. The author, Lynda Resnick is so accomplished. Along with her husband Stewart, they have initiated and bought so many businesses and created empires. They've launched the success of POM Wonderful drinks, FIJI water, Teleflora, and many other companies. The secret is "thinking inside the box" instead of outside of it. I would check it out if I were you.. but you don't have to take my word for it. lol

Kanye West (feat Kid Cudi)- Welcome to Heartbreak

I LOVE this video! Kanye never ceases to amaze me with his limitless creative ability. I'm glad to see that Kid Cudi is makin it big too. I remember last summer, listening to Day N' Nite for the first time on someone's myspace page. That's the first time I've ever heard of him and I knew he was gonna blow up.

Scanners

My sister, Terran, showed me this video and I was crackin up. I think the little kid is so cute. When we showed my mom she said it reminded her of how my dad used to get me to make the same face when I was little. I've heard this story plenty of times by my dad by the way.

He got it from this movie titled, "Scanners", that came out in '81. Apparently, the scanners would make this face when they sent laser beams over to blow up the humans' heads. Yuck

After hours on the roof

I tend to work late a lot so sometimes I'll go up to the roof with some of my co-workers for a break and some fresh air. I think its a cool view looking towards 5th ave.

OH gosh

I had to show this one... I went home this weekend and my neighbor looked like he DESPERATELY needed a cut. I'm one for doing good deeds so I decided to handle this one. What do you think?

Cycling Caps

After waiting for so long, the caps were finally delivered to the office. I think they're so cool. My great friend, Jonry, ordered some for Erica and I. I'm not really sure how you're supposed to wear them but I think I still rocked it. lol. It was a struggle trying to get it to fit over my hair too. lol

The Boulevard's Party Bus

As a part of my morning commute I have to ride a bus from NJ to NYC. Every once in a while, I get stuck on this bus that the driver suped up with colorful lights and even a STROBE LIGHT in the back! I tried to get a better pic of it. Here's an idea of how my morning started.

So... my stomach was aching for the past week and I couldn't figure out how to cure it. Alhamdulillah, thankfully, my friend suggested that I fast the process heals the organs. It definitely works.

I'm an "organic remedy" kind of girl so I did more research and found more natural things that help stomachaches:

1. Plantains
2. Ginger
3. Chamomile
4. Peppermint
5. Apple cider vinegar
6. Cinnamon
7. Burned toast
8. Avoiding sugarless gum

There's probably way more than this but I didn't feel like diggin deeper than this.
