My thoughts today...

I'm not sure how often this happens to other people, but I've been feeling pretty stale for the past few days. I haven't really been feeling like myself and usually it means that I just need a little time alone, and perhaps a change. Everyone has their days I guess.... and change is usually good.

I've decided to hit the reset button on a few things and switch directions. I've set a few new goals for myself and I'm pretty excited about them. I don't want to mention them just yet, but stay tuned ;)

Oh yeah... Ramadan is approaching and I'm actually excited for it. I have much to read and learn during the month and I should leave my cocoon as a beautiful butterfly when its all done lol, Inshallah

Walking with Gavi

I was home last week and was asked to pick my niece up from my cousin's house in the morning. She doesn't live that far away from my sister so I decided to walk. For those who don't know already, I absolutely ADORE my niece. She's just the sweetest little thing, and my sister (her mom) even says that Gavi's my biggest fan lol.

When I went to pick her up, she immediately got excited (I guess she just wasn't expecting to see me). My cousin said that when I came around, it was the most she talked the whole time she was there :). Now I'm just bragging lol. Anyway.... on the walk home we were catching up. She's only 2 years old but she definitely had a lot to tell me. I hope she never changes :)

My very own apartment :)

These pics were taken the day after we signed our lease. Charisse and I were definitely suped because it seemed like we were looking for apartments forever and running out of time. It was crazy because we both loved this place as soon as we walked in and it was the only time we both reacted that way to an apartment we saw. Funny enough.. we turned in the application and got approved the next day. Seems like it was just meant to be :)

I'll post more pics when we're all settled in.

BJEVERETT performs at VH1 "Break'N Through" - Save the Music

So proud! BJ brought crazy energy to the stage, blowing away the competition, and I'm sure the crowd would agree. All that hard work and perseverance is paying off cuz its finally time!! :)

When it's ready, the official footage from the show will be posted on VH1's "Break'N through" website. That's when you'll get a chance to see the competition and vote! I'll give the que and the link to the website when its time.
