College painting

I was unpacking and found this in one of my old portfolios. This was from my first college art class. We did a study on trees for the whole semester. By the end, we were stylizing trees using black paint on newsprint paper. A lot of people hated this project but it was very therapeutic for me. lol. I think I had a lot more patience back then. I definitely didn't have a problem with showing refine detail.
